Terms of Use
Last updated: May 3, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Buckworks at nec.buckworks.net (the "site"). By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
1. Educational use only
Buckworks is provided for educational and self-study purposes only. The questions, breakdowns, and articles published here are written to help users prepare for licensing examinations and to better understand the National Electrical Code. They are not legal, regulatory, or engineering advice for any specific project, installation, or jurisdiction.
2. Accuracy disclaimer
We work hard to keep every question accurate and tied to the correct 2020 National Electrical Code section. However:
- The NEC is updated every three years and adopted (with amendments) on different schedules in different states.
- Local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) may interpret or amend the code differently.
- Errors will sometimes appear on the site, and we correct them as quickly as we can.
Always verify any answer against the current edition of the NEC adopted in your jurisdiction and any applicable amendments before relying on it for design, installation, or licensing purposes. The NEC itself is published by the National Fire Protection Association and is the authoritative source.
3. No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
4. Limitation of liability
Under no circumstances shall Buckworks, its operators, contributors, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the site, including but not limited to: failure to pass an examination, code violations, equipment damage, personal injury, or property loss.
5. No affiliation with licensing bodies
Buckworks is independently produced and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by:
- PSI Services LLC, Pearson VUE, or any other testing-delivery vendor
- The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
- The International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI)
- The IBEW, NJATC, electrical training ALLIANCE, or any union or apprenticeship organization
- Any state, county, or municipal licensing board
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
